As in, twitched my first rarity today. And it felt good. Not the rarest of rarities, but a Black Redstart isn’t bad. More so when you discover where I’d seen it.
100 yards from home! A friend from the birding trips lives on the same street, and the Black Redstart has been a regular for the last week. And for the last week, we’d missed her. Till today. However, the light was awful, so ended up handholding a 500mm lens, at 1/30s with an iso of 1600!
